While picking up headshots one day, I was subjected to the radio for about 40 straight minutes and noticed that most of the music I was hearing was either a simple riff, or between one and three chords. I walked home humming the down and up riff that you hear at the end of this piece, and then set out to create the rest of the song using one chord and a simple drum groove. I was successful until about half way through when I felt the needed a kick up, so I added the “real drums” (which are actually a drum module).
Story: As with all DS level citizens, Jacob has been deprived of hearing since the age of ten and has since completely forgotten the concept of auditory sensation. It is during this song that he begins to see things happening in rhythm and starts to dance. By the end of the song, he removes his protective headgear that has been blocking his hearing for so long and in his moment of triumph is dragged away for his own safety.
